In 2007 they landed a hit with “Give It to Me”. Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado are back together again.

The music stars have repeatedly hinted at it in recent weeks, now it’s official: Nelly Furtado (44), Timbaland (51) and Justin Timberlake (42) are celebrating a musical reunion.

“We’re back,” they say in an Instagram post by Timbaland. “The time has come,” begins a clip published for this purpose, which on the one hand shows excerpts from past performances. The three hit number one in the US and UK charts in 2007 with the song “Give It to Me”.

On the other hand, the short video shows scenes from the studio that were apparently created during the renewed collaboration. At the end of the clip, the three names of the musicians and the date September 1 appear. On this day, the fans can obviously look forward to a new song.

Timbaland had already indicated at the end of July that the three could be working on new music. “The dream team,” he wrote to an Instagram picturewhich shows him in the studio with Timberlake, while Furtado joined in via video.

Portuguese-Canadian singer Nelly Furtado hasn’t released an album since 2017’s The Ride. Her last song “Eat Your Man” was released in June 2023. Her seventh studio album is supposed to be according to “Variety” also follow soon.

Justin Timberlake recorded a new album with Timbaland some time ago. “We just finished and everything sounds great”, he revealed to the industry magazine in April. “Now it’s really up to him how and when he wants to put it out, but it’s done and it’s coming.”
