Timothée Chalamet: after Dune 2, discover his change of look in photos to embody this legendary star!


Filming for the Bob Dylan biopic is currently taking place in New York. Several stunning photos of Timothée Chalamet have been revealed as well as a first video.

Announced more than 4 years ago, before the pandemic, filming on the Bob Dylan biopic has finally begun! This is a new film project about the life of the famous singer, entitled A Complete Unknown (previously titled Going Electric).

After playing Henry V in The King by David Michôd (Fury), Timothée Chalamet will become Bob Dylan in a musical biopic directed by James Mangold (Le Mans 66).

A Complete Unknown should return to the transition between folk music and rock, an important moment in the singer’s career and immortalized with the album Bringing It All Back Homereleased in 1965.

Chalamet will be joined by Edward Norton (in place of the previously announced Benedict Cumberbatch) in the role of Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning (as Sylvie Russo) and Monica Barbaro (as Joan Baez). The screenplay is by Jay Cocks.

This film will mark the filmmaker’s return to the musical biopic, almost 20 years after Walk The Line. The drama, which brought together Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon (Oscar winner for this role), looked back on the young years of Johnny Cash.

Additions to the cast

The names of several actors have been announced as joining the project. They are Boyd Holbrook (The Bikeriders), Scoot McNairy (Argo), Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts), Will Harrison (Daisy Jones & The Six) and Charlie Tahan (Ozark).

PJ Byrne (Babylon), Eli Brown (Gossip Girl), Nick Pupo (Halt and Catch Fire), Big Bill Morganfield, Laura Kariuki, Eric Berryman (Atlanta), David Alan Basche (Egg), Joe Tippett (Monarch) and James Austin Johnson (Saturday Night Live) round out the cast.

In this role, Timothée Chalamet succeeds Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, Ben Whishaw and Marcus Carl Franklin, all of whom played a variation of Bob Dylan in Todd Haynes’ I’m Not There in 2007.
