The Lord of the Rings is now revisited by a trio of artists who have used AI to amaze us!
Artificial intelligence is increasingly frightening, both in States and in the great voices of tech like Elon Musk or Steve Wozniak. But it can also allow us to imagine works that our favorite artists have never produced. The proof today with this unpublished trailer of the Lord of the Rings.
What would Wes Anderson do?
Have you ever wondered how such and such a director could bring his often extremely recognizable touch to the adaptation of one of your favorite works? Well, three artists from the YouTube channel Curious Shelter asked themselves this question and decided to use the new capabilities of artificial intelligence to have fun. Their request to the AI was thus simple: what would a trailer of the Lord of the Rings if it was directed by Wes Anderson?
The result is particularly telling for all those who liked The Grand Budapest Hotel. We thus perfectly find the style of the American in these images, from his favorite colors (despite the omnipresent green of the County) to his plans organized with perfect geometry. The table of tools needed for the quest is in this sense a nice little jewel of imitation!
The perfect cast?
The other striking aspect of the trailer is of course the cast selected by the AI to star in this Lord of the Ringswhich takes the title of The Fantasy Community. The latter went looking for big names:
