Tina Ruland and Tanja Bülter talked about the failure of their relationships and life as single mothers.
Actress Tina Ruland (53, "Manta, Manta") and RTL presenter Tanja Bülter (48) live separately from the fathers of their two children. In an interview with "Bild am Sonntag", the two mothers tell why they like being a single parent.
Tina Ruland even thinks that a single parent is better than having a partner by her side. "That is of course mainly due to the fact that I had a lot of bad luck with the relationship with the father of my second son. It was a very ugly breakup," she explains. "I think it's nice when families are intact. But that wasn't the case with me. I'm happy to be a single parent." Contact with the father of her son Vidal (9) is kept to a minimum.
Bülter believes that it is nice for the children to grow up with a strong mother. "Our sons will treat their wives differently. They learn that women can do everything just as well, be their wives and also take over the man's part if need be," agrees Ruland. The women support each other and also travel together, most recently in South Tyrol. "We both had our backs on this vacation and said that all of this is feasible and feasible," says Ruland.
Those were the reasons for separation
For Ruland, "not necessarily total physical loyalty" plays a major role in a relationship. "It depends on the agreement that you make. And that refers not only to physical loyalty, but also to trust, to values that you share with one another." That was a reason for separation for them. "My values have been completely disregarded and violated." With Tanja Bülter and her husband, the life situation, both professionally and privately, simply developed in two different directions.
The two mothers, who have already considered moving into the same house with other single mothers, are currently not looking for a new partner. But: "I haven't lost my faith in love," says Ruland. She is not a woman who hates men, but unfortunately "ran into the wrong man again". Tanja Bülter's grandfather, who remarried when he was 85, is a role model. "I always have in mind that the second or late luck is possible. It doesn't have to come immediately."
Tanja Bülter announced her separation from husband Nenad Drobnjak at the end of July. "It was actually the darn seventh year of marriage with us. In the end we were together for almost 14 years," she explained to the "Bild" at the time. At the end of March 2019, Ruland announced the separation from management consultant Claus G. Öldorp, with whom she had been in a relationship for nine years and has a son. Ruland has another son from a previous relationship (15).
