Tree made of threads

A thread pattern is not only a lot of fun, the result looks great too! All you need is wood, nails, hammer and threads in different shades of green. Here we explain how you can make a thread picture.

Upcycling from pallets

Do you have an old pallet at home? Wonderful! Then it offers the perfect canvas for your Christmas tree. Simply tape an isosceles triangle plus trunk with painter's tape and paint the area white. Once everything is dry, you can drive in a few nails and hang up a garland or string of lights.

Wire art

This Christmas tree can be tinkered with wire in next to no time. All you need is craft wire and a wire cutter. Shape the wire into a spiral, then pull it apart. You may have to bend the stand a little more. A star on the top crowns the Christmas tree.

Christmas tree made of fabric

Fir trees made of fabric not only look beautiful, they can also be used as a secret gift or gift tag. To do this, cut out two layers of fabric. If you want, you can decorate the fabric with lace or lace. Place the fabric right sides together and sew it off close to the edge. If necessary, you can sew in a cord as a pendant. Leave a turning opening on the lower side. Turn the fabric. The tips of the tree can be easily shaped with a knitting needle. Fill the mold with cotton wool and close the opening by hand with a mattress stitch. You only leave a small opening in the middle, into which you either glue a cinnamon stick or a small branch.

Christmas tree without needles

For this DIY you need small branches, which you cut to the appropriate size with a fretsaw. Use a wood drill to drill a hole in the center of each branch. Drill another hole in a tree grate and stick a thin pole into it. Thread the branches and close everything with a small wooden star.

Crafting with children

This idea can be tinkered very well with children: For this, the pine cones are painted on the sides and, after drying, glued to a cork with hot glue. A small star crowns the tree at the end.

Nostalgic Christmas

Use a wood drill to drill a small hole in thin tree slices. Cut isosceles triangles out of music paper and fold them like an accordion. Skewer the paper on skewers. Dip the kebab skewers briefly in hot glue and insert them into the hole. Here, too, you can glue a star to the top.

Fir tree made from salt dough

With salt dough and cookie molds, all possible motifs can be implemented – including a Christmas tree. With a motif stamp you can give the tree that certain something. Make sure to make a thread hole before you bake the salt dough in the oven. Here you can find a do-it-yourself salt dough recipe.

Felt sapling

These little trees made of felt come in a beautiful Nordic style.

Jewelry par excellence

Who needs a real tree ?! The next trip to the forest or to the beach brings us fallen branches or driftwood branches, which when attached to the wall make a great Christmas tree. Then all you have to do is drive in a few nails and stretch cords and you can start decorating!
