Microids today revealed a new trailer for Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh ahead of its release on November 7 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. Only the PS5 and Xbox Series versions will be entitled to a boxed release while the Switch version will only be available in 2024. Rarely appeared in video games, especially for a character whose adventures are worth more than 275 million albums sold in the world, Tintin rhymes above all with the pretty but undrinkable 16-bit games from Infogrames. It was Ubisoft which produced the last Tintin game on consoles in 2011, based on the animated film. The Secret of the Unicorn by Steven Spielberg released the same year.
A little further west
The choice of Microids and Pendulo fell on another emblematic adventure, Pharaoh’s Cigars, an albim published in 1934 in black and white and colored by Casterman in 1955. An album which sees the entry on the scene of the police officers Dupond and Dupont and the villain Roberto Rastapopoulos. In addition to Egypt, the adventure will take place in India and Saudi Arabia. Tintin and Snowy will indeed investigate a drug case in the Orient while searching for the location of the tomb of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh.
