Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands presents its Chamber of Chaos

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands comes out in a few weeks and after a long streak of gameplay to go along with the first previews, Gearbox has therefore decided to reveal what will occupy the players after the end of the plot, a post-game content called the Chamber of Chaos which will take on the false air of roguelite.

Wonderlands thinks it’s Returnal

Wonderlands has a Heroic Fantasy and Roleplaying theme, so it makes sense that dungeon crawling will take a big place in the game, which will be done via this Chamber of Chaos at least. The principle is simple, you have three lives to reach the end of a dungeon and defeat its boss.

The dungeon itself has the following flow, you visit three rooms while clearing them of enemies then there will be a mini-boss, three more rooms and finally a boss. To make it more interesting, know that everything is generated randomly by drawing from around sixty rooms prepared by the team, and can use any enemy crossed in play. A successful run should last between 20 and 30 minutes.

If that’s not enough, know that the rooms will also have random secondary objectives to continue to bring variety to your expeditions and that it will be possible to have a say in certain upcoming rooms and their content and choosing which portal to borrow for the continuation. But it does not stop there.

Tiny Tina and the Crystal Skull

Indeed, this content has its own economic system thanks to Crystals. By completing a room, you can earn a certain number of Crystals, and secondary objectives will allow you to obtain even more. You can spend these crystals to get bonuses that will make the rest of your run easier, or penalties that will make it harder for you in the hope of better rewards.

After defeating the boss, you will be able to use your crystals at rabbit statues that each have the logo of a different piece of gear. This is used to choose what type of item you want to receive as a reward, perfect for replacing the weakest item in your build. Note that the crystals are not kept when you leave the Chamber of Chaos, but you will keep the items received during the run, even in the event of a defeat.

A run also allows you to earn Lunar Orbs which are very useful since they allow you to reroll a piece of equipment to change its attributes, which will further optimize your build. Every week there will also be a fixed dungeon with a ranking system so you can compare your performance with that of your friends and the community. We are also teased a last function named in VO the Chaos Trial.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released on March 25 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
