The temperature will rise to between 32 and 36 degrees locally into the new week. Temperatures are more moderate in the mountains. The nights in the higher Alpine valleys also bring relaxing sleeping temperatures. At lower altitudes, our rivers and lakes offer welcome refreshment.

mountain weather

If the heat in the lowlands is too much for you, you will find lower temperatures at higher altitudes. The hiking weather is also good: it is sunny and with a few cumulus clouds there is at least a chance of some shade. However, there will be no thunderstorms over the weekend. The likelihood of thunderstorms will only slowly increase again from the middle of the new week.

water temperatures

The midland lakes and larger rivers are currently at a pleasant 20 to 24 degrees. The best way to cool off is with a combination of mountains and water, for example in Lake Davos at 14 degrees. Click here for the SRF bathing weather.

lows

At the weekend it will cool down to 18 to 16 degrees at night. Above all in Ticino and on Lake Geneva there are already tropical nights with no less than 20 degrees. With the muggy warm air, some will not be able to sleep so well. The nights in the higher Alpine valleys are more restful: at the weekend it cools down to 13 degrees in Zermatt/VS, to 9 degrees in St. Moritz/GR and to 8 degrees in Andermatt/UR.
