Miley Cyrus’ mother has reportedly filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus. It wouldn’t be the first time though.

Leticia “Tish” Cyrus (54), the mother of pop star Miley Cyrus (29), has apparently filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus (60) after 29 years of marriage. This is reported, among other things, by the US site “Page Six”. Accordingly, the application was already received by the court on April 6, as evidenced by documents that the site is said to have. The two have not lived together since the beginning of 2020, and Tish Cyrus allegedly gave “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

However, what sounds so final does not have to mean the actual end of the marriage of the two. It would be the third time that one of the two filed for divorce without actually going through with it. Already in 2010 there was the first report of a divorce, in this case filed by Billy Ray Cyrus. However, a few months later he withdrew it.

Three years later his wife wanted to divorce him. At that time it only took ten days before the two were reconciled. In a joint statement to “People” magazine they said: “We both woke up and realized we love each other and want to stay together.”

In addition to Miley Cyrus, the pair have four other children together: Brandi, 34, Noah, 22, Trace, 33, and Braison Cyrus, 27. The country star also has son Christopher Cody (30) from another relationship
