To forget everything ! Five places to disconnect

MORNING LIST

We have never had so much need to disconnect, to come back to ourselves… In a Norman park, an Aveyron valley, in the middle of a Breton pond, in the Alps or on the edge of a lake in the Gers, guaranteed accommodation ” no stress ”.

A tiny house in a Norman park

Once upon a time there was a whole, very, very small house, in the midst of deer and deer. It is true that we feel a bit like in an Andersen tale in the Tiny House of the Park, a cozy cocoon placed in Buais-les-Monts, in Normandy, in the heart of a former animal park of 60 hectares, closed after the storm of 1999. All in wood, the mini-house offers a large double bed, a bathroom and, above all, large bay windows open to nature. In the early morning, we stroll through the park of Saint-Symphorien-des-Monts to meet the animals, skirting remarkable trees and a fishing pond. Alone in the world… or almost. Saint-Malo, Mont-Saint-Michel and Granville are not far away.

An eco-renovated barn in the Aveyron

180 degree view of the nature of Aveyron.

In the heart of the Viaur gorges, in this breathtaking landscape of the Aveyron, Frédérique and Nadia have chosen to cut with “The frenetic daily life” to reinvent a life “Simpler, healthier, truer”. No wonder their guest rooms La Vie au grand vert are the ideal place to disconnect. The eco-renovated barn looks like a little house on the prairie, with a 180-degree view of lush nature. Everything has been thought out in a sustainable way, from water recovery to composting. You can choose to sleep in the Grand-Ouest room (2 people), the family suite (6 people) or, to completely cut off from the world, in the Wild Room, a tent-bed suspended in the woods, with a cabin perched toilet and Indian shower! Once installed, let yourself be carried away by the hosts, who will offer you small vegetarian dishes with local products, massages, horseback riding or wild swimming. Why leave again?

Life in the great green, on GreenGo, from € 67 per night for the Wild Room, € 89 for the Grand-Ouest room, € 87 for the family suite.

A floating cabin in Morbihan

We arrive by boat in this strange kabane.

To forget the news for a weekend, you might as well leave dry land… and climb into a boat. In the middle of a pond, in Crac’h, near La Trinité-sur-Mer, you come face to face with two kabanes, with a “k”, those that Philippe Shakeshaft imagined as floating houses. Outside, a Nordic house look, inside, an old marine decor, with antique furniture and a cozy atmosphere. From the terrace on the water, we listen to the birds, the moorhens … and the silence. Phew!
