Renovation work against a rebate on its land tax for several years: this is what several French municipalities offer. According to information reported by the Le Figaro453 of them voted partial or total exemption, and this for three years, of the property tax for owners carrying out major energy renovation work in their homes. According to the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP), 10,185 locals benefited from this measure this year.

Major works planned

If no complete list of the municipalities concerned exists according to the National Agency for Information on Housing (Anil), Le Figaro draw up however a list of ten municipalities that have made this choice: Signy-le-Petit, Rimogne, Prix-ls-Mzires, Gespunsart, Damouzy, Charleville-Mzires and Aiglemont, in the Ardennes (08), Lambesc in the Bouches-du-Rhne (13), Gires, Fontaine and Eybens in Isre (38), as well as Breuillet and Massy, ​​in Essonne (91). So the Figaro gives the example of owner-occupiers Massy, ​​partially exempt from their land tax of 50% after major works.

Because benefiting from this aid is not self-evident. It is thus necessary that the renovated accommodation dates from before January 1, 1989. Then, it is necessary carry out more than 10,000 euros of work, with the aim of saving energy. Regarding eligible work, Le Figaro recalls that they are identical to those used for the income tax credit for the energy transition (CITE). A wood or solar energy heating system and certain heat pumps are thus eligible, for example.
