A series in the world of crime told from the point of view of women? This is the Italian novelty The Good Mothers, adapted from the book by journalist Alex Perry, itself based on real events.

In order to put behind bars the members of the ‘Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia, the prosecutor Anna Colace decides to call on the women who grew up within this dangerous and murderous clan. A very risky plan for Denise, Giuseppina and Maria Concetta, who will do everything to free themselves from the yoke of the criminal organization and build a better future for their children.

Awarded the very first Berlinale Series Award at the Berlin International Film Festival at the start of the year, the 6-episode series will be available from April 5 on Disney+.

Tiny Beautiful Things – Friday, April 7

After making an impression in the role of Agatha Harkness in WandaVision, and before the arrival of the spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Kathryn Hahn returns to Disney+ to headline the mini-series Tiny Beautiful Things, adapted of Cheryl Strayed’s bestseller.

Very far from her incarnation of the famous witch of the Marvel universe, she camps there a mother who unfortunately seems to be at an impasse: her marriage is at the end of its rope, her teenage daughter flees her, and her writing career once promise is far behind it…

When a former colleague asks her to take over a section of letters from the heart entitled Dear Sugar, she has the feeling of not being the best placed, but ends up accepting the job. Discover her story in the 8 episodes of Tiny Beautiful Things, available from April 7 on the platform.

Peter Pan & Wendy – Friday, April 28

At the end of the month, spectators will be able to fly off to Never Land through a new adaptation of JM Barrie’s work, also inspired by Walt Disney’s great classic from 1953: Peter Pan & Wendy, an original film by David Lowery (The Green Knight).

Faced with young talents Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson in the roles of Peter Pan and Wendy, it is Jude Law (Captain Marvel) who embodies the disturbing Captain Hook. Yara Shahidi, the star of Black-ish and Grown-ish, lends her features to the famous Tinker Bell. A great thrilling adventure to experience on Disney+ from April 28!
