Today, all French spectators know him: have you noticed which young actor is waiting near Sophie Marceau?

In 2008, when he was barely 18 years old, this French comedian and actor took his first steps in the cinema as an extra, sharing a scene with Sophie Marceau. Did you recognize him?

Famous for having played the main role in the series Soda but also for having participated in many popular films such as The Teachers, The New Adventures of Aladdin, Son or more recently Retirement Home, the young actor and comedian Kev Adams, today Now aged 32, he is one of the well-known faces of French comedy.

But as with most of his peers, before achieving notoriety, he had to start with smaller roles, and even with extras.

Thus, in 2008, that is to say two years before the Soda series began, you could see Kev Adams (provided you knew exactly where to look for him) in the teenage comedy LOL (Laughing Out Loud), directed by Lisa Azuelos, worn by Sophie Marceau and Christa Théret.

It is in the middle of the feature film (which had also enjoyed great commercial success upon its release) that the budding actor takes his very first steps in the role of a high school student, coming out of a conference on dangers of drugs. If you press pause at 43 minutes and 28 seconds of the film, you can indeed see him waiting on the stairs, to the left of Sophie Marceau.

“You see me a little bit”later told Kev Adams, guest on a television set.

Pathé

“For the funny story, it’s a shot they did in front of the stairs, and I heard the guy say very clearly: ‘No extras in this shot. Kids coming down, but no extras , we only want the main actors.’ I hear that, I don’t care, I tell myself that I have to be in on it. (…) All the kids who did extras with me came because they earned €60 a day. I didn’t care about the €60, I wanted to be seen in the film!”

“I’ve done that in lots of movies.”he added, specifying that in most cases, it had been cut during editing.

Two years after this furtive appearance in front of the camera by Lisa Azuelos, Kev Adams landed the role of young Adam Fontella, main character in the series Soda, broadcast on M6 and which was to lead him on the road to success.
