One sexist joke too many was the last straw. History student Sally Alexander, played by Keira Knightley, becomes part of a group of women who have set themselves the goal of shaking up the 1970 Miss World pageant.
The only problem is that this is also the first Miss World pageant in which two black women have the chance to take part in the beauty pageant for the very first time. This means that Miss South Africa and Miss Grenada do not get the attention they perhaps deserve.
