Aug 5 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended higher on Friday as positive corporate earnings results lifted the benchmark Nikkei index above the psychological threshold of 28,000 points.
The Nikkei index gained 0.87% to 28,175.87 points and the broader Topix gained 0.84% to 1,946.96 points.
