DATE, CAST, EPISODES… WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TOKYO VICE

Mark Thursday, September 15 in your diary! It is on this date that you will finally be able to dive into this fascinating and true story. Adapted from the autobiography of investigative journalist Jake Adelstein, the 8 episodes of the series reveal the incredible destiny of this American living in Tokyo.

In the 1990s, while looking for a job in a major daily newspaper, he met an inspector from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department who was fighting organized crime. If this man quickly becomes his mentor, he also opens the door to the world of the Japanese mafia.

At the same time, Adelstein crosses paths with Samantha, another expatriate who officiates as a hostess in a famous club in the city, and Sato, a yakuza whose clan controls this establishment…

Playing on the ambivalence of its hero and skillfully denouncing organized crime in Japan, Tokyo Vice fascinates with its plot and impresses with its directing. Executive producer of the series, Michael Mann (Heat) directs the first episode for a rendering that is worth the detour!

And if Ansel Elgort once again highlights his talent by playing Jake Adelstein, the same goes for Ken Watanabe (Inception) in the costume of the police inspector, and Rachel Keller (Fargo) in Samantha Porter. The icing on the cake: a 2nd season has already been signed! All the reasons are therefore good to get started in Tokyo Vice, from September 15 on CANAL+ and myCANAL.
