Farewell in Hollywood: US film star Tom Bower, known from “The Waltons” and “Die Hard 2”, has left the big stage forever.

The actor Tom Bower (1938-2024) was not one of the biggest names in Hollywood, but enriched the film world with countless roles in films such as “Die Hard 2” or cult series such as “The Waltons”. As his sister-in-law Mary Miller confirmed to “The Hollywood Reporter”, the charismatic actor died on May 30 in his house in Los Angeles. Bower died in his sleep.

Tom Bower shone in countless series roles

In his long career since the early 1970s, Bower became known primarily for his many roles in series. In total, the busy actor appeared in over 70 film and series productions. Highlights included films such as “Die Hard 2” (1990), “Nixon” (1996) and “The Million Dollar Hotel” (2000) by Wim Wenders (78).

In recent years he has appeared in the “Breaking Bad” sequel “El Camino” and in the series “Criminal Minds”, among others. One of his last roles was in the series “Lucky Hank” alongside “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk (61).
