Tom Brady: Miniseries about football legend in the works

Football legend Tom Brady, 46, has finally retired – despite some rumors to the contrary. Now his life and career will be highlighted in an upcoming miniseries. As the industry magazine “Deadline” reportsa highly decorated screenwriting duo will take on his legacy.

Paul Tamasy, 59, and Eric Johnson, who, among other things, wrote the script for the film “The Fighter” about former boxing world champion Micky Ward, 57, are said to be working on the project “The Patriot Way” about Tom Brady. Together they are currently adapting the 2018 bestseller “12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight for Redemption” by Casey Sherman, 54, and Dave Wedge, 53.

It chronicles Brady’s rise from an underrated NFL rookie to the most successful football quarterback of all time, with all the ups and downs of his long career. It is the third collaboration between Sherman, Wedge, Tamasy and Johnson: “The Fighter” is based on the two authors’ book “Boston Strong”, and they also made a film of the book “The Finest Hours”. The historical drama of the same name about the damaged oil tanker SS Pendleton, starring Chris Pine, 43, and Casey Affleck, 48, was released in cinemas in 2016.

“The Fighter” with Mark Wahlberg, 52, and Christian Bale, 49, in the lead roles was awarded two Oscars in 2011 and was also nominated for five other golden boys – including Tamasy and Johnson personally for best original screenplay. “The Fighter” also won two awards at the Golden Globes.

Tom Brady won the Super Bowl seven times

Tom Brady ended his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, with whom he completely surprisingly won the Super Bowl again in 2021. He previously lifted the trophy six times with the New England Patriots. He was voted Best Player of the Final five times and won the Player of the Year award three times.
