Tom Cruise: He wears a black mask to match the agent role

In keeping with his agent role in "Mission: Impossible", Tom Cruise can be seen in new set photos from Rome in a black protective mask.

Tom Cruise (58, "Jack Reacher") slips into the role of the agent Ethan Hunt again. The seventh "Mission: Impossible" part is currently being shot in Rome. Director Christopher McQuarrie (52) and his 180-strong team want to shoot for seven weeks in the Italian capital. The large production is supposed to get the film industry in Italy going again after it has come to a standstill in Corona lockdown. And it should show how shooting is currently possible under the strictest anti-corona security precautions. Leading actor Tom Cruise leads by example and protective mask.

While most crew members resorted to white or blue disposable protective masks, Tom Cruise wears a black mask that is also equipped with filters – in keeping with his agent role. This is shown by set photos that were taken on Via Nazionale. Since October 8th, a nationwide mask requirement has been in force in Italy, including in the open air.

Other pictures show how Italian flair is to emerge in the film: Cruise is shooting scenes in a bright yellow Fiat 500 together with colleague Hayley Atwell (38) and without a face mask. The seventh "Mission: Impossible" part is to be released in the cinemas November 2021.
