Tom Cruise still wants to make action films at the age of 80 – like his great role model Harrison Ford.

To Hollywood Star Tom Cruise (61) seems to be passing the time. On the day of the premiere of his new film “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” in Sydney, Australia (July 3), he also celebrated his 61st birthday and looked at least 20 years younger.

For what is now the seventh part of the “Mission: Impossible” series, he again personally performed most of the daring action stunts – as he did in the first part in 1996. As he did “Sydney Morning Herald” in an interview betrayed, he intends to continue to do so in old age.

Action stunts even at 80

Looking in awe at his colleague Harrison Ford, who at the age of 80 returns to the action jungle in “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny” (German cinema release: June 29), he told the newspaper: “Harrison Ford is one Legend, I hope I can keep going, I’ve got 20 years to catch him. I hope to keep making Mission: Impossible movies until I’m his age.”
