It has been speculated for years that Tom Cruise will soon be making a film in space. Now the Universal boss is talking about her plans.

After years of speculation, will Tom Cruise (60) really go into space to shoot a film there? In an interview with BBC News explains Donna Langley, head of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, that Cruise plans to fly to the ISS in a rocket. During the pandemic, actor and director Doug Liman (57) suggested a plot to her. The story should therefore “play on earth, and then the main character has to travel into space to save the world”.

The film producer hopes the Top Gun: Maverick star will be “the first civilian to spacewalk outside of the space station.”

Despite all efforts, it could still take longer before the space project is put into action. The film has not yet been officially commissioned by Universal. Only for the period 2022/23 is the release of 44 other productions that have been postponed due to the pandemic.

Tom Cruise was supposed to go to space in 2021

It was recently reported by US media that Tom Cruise would fly into space in October 2021. Mission partners should include NASA and SpaceX founder Elon Musk (51). As is well known, Cruise did not travel to space at the time.
