Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson: They are better two weeks after being diagnosed with corona

Hollywood star Tom Hanks (63, "Forrest Gump") and his wife Rita Wilson (63) appear to be on the up after their coronavirus diagnosis. The actor explained on Twitter. "We feel better two weeks after the first symptoms," he wrote there. He also called on his followers to keep a distance. Getting to grips with the virus will "take a while, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts … this will pass too".

She showed how fit Wilson is again on Sunday with an Instagram video that she herself posted. In it she raps to the song "Hip Hop Hooray" by Naughty by Nature and wrote next to it: "You have to see it to believe it."

Quarantined in Australia

Hanks had announced on March 12 via social media that he and Wilson had tested positive for the corona virus. They are currently in quarantine in a house in Australia after being released from the hospital. The Hollywood star traveled to Australia with his wife to shoot Baz Luhrmann's (57) Elvis Presley biopic. He is supposed to play Elvis manager Colonel Tom Parker in it. Production of the film was interrupted after Hanks' diagnosis.
