Start of the week, Embrace Group announced the takeover of the studios Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal as well as several of their licenses like Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and tomb Raider. A great acquisition that only cost 300 million dollars to Embrace.

The group took the opportunity to share a visual dedicated to the franchise tomb Raiderrevealing that more than 88 million copies of the major opuses AAA have been sold since its debut in 1996. First developed by Core Designthe series is the responsibility of Crystal Dynamics since 2006 and has experienced a reboot in 2013 with three episodes which have sold 38 million copies.

Embrace Group did not detail the sales of the other licenses, but only with the adventures of Lara Croft, he probably got a good deal.
