After many years without any real news from the Tomb Raider saga, the Crystal Dynamics development studio finally revealed during State of Unreal 2022 on Tuesday April 5, 2022 that a new game dedicated to the famous Lara Croft was in the pipeline. And since great news never comes alone, the studio has also announced that it will run on Unreal Engine 5!

Dallas Dickinson wants to be rather reassuring and even very interesting about this new game: “Our goal is to push the envelope and deliver the high-quality action-adventure cinematic experience fans deserve from both Crystal Dynamics and the Tomb Raider franchise.“
At the moment, we don’t know much more about this Tomb Raider. Nevertheless, it would seem according to the words of Dickinson himself but also of the presentation of the studio having followed that the development would only begin. It is therefore unlikely to see Lara land on our machines before a little while if the project is as ambitious as announced.
The studio indeed revealed after this short announcement that it was looking for new collaborators, probably not only to help it develop this game but also its other ambitious projects: the reboot of the Perfect Dark franchise and keeping it up to date. from his game Marvel’s Avengers.
Anyway, with or without a release date, fans of the Tomb Raider franchise can finally rejoice: it’s only a matter of months before we can get our hands on this new game that we already looking forward to it!
