Tommy DeVito: The Four Seasons co-founder dies at the age of 92

Musician Tommy DeVito died on Monday. He was sick with Covid-19. The world hit "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" came from his band.

US musician Tommy DeVito (1928-2020) died on Monday evening in a clinic near Las Vegas, Nevada. He had previously been infected with the corona virus. This is what the "Las Vegas Review-Journal" reports. The founding member of The Four Seasons was 92 years old.

"It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Tommy DeVito, a founding member of The Four Seasons, has passed away. We send our love to his family at this difficult time. He will be missed by everyone who loved him," said his former bandmates Frankie Valli (86) and Bob Gaudio (77) known on Facebook.

World hit "Can't Take My Eyes Off You"

DeVito's band made themselves immortal with the world hit "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" from 1967. Many artists covered the piece. DJ Surf Mesa feat. Emilee had a chart success with "ILY (I love you Baby)". Heath Ledger's (1979-2008) performance of the hit in the teen comedy "10 Things I Hate About You" (1999) has also not been forgotten.
