When the Sète police are about to lift the veil on the case of the kidnapper who is terrorizing the city, the return of an old acquaintance of Etienne (Patrick Guérineau) will bring back his mysterious past in Tomorrow belongs to us .
Although he has been leading an ordinary uneventful life since his arrival, Etienne is actually hiding a well-kept secret. But as always in Tomorrow belongs to us, the past never remains definitively buried. In this respect, the arrival of Alexis Langlois (Mikael Fitoussi), an old friend whom he has not seen for more than 20 years, does not bode well for Bénédicte’s husband.
In a new excerpt available on MyTF1, Alexis Langlois challenges Etienne in the streets of Sète. A meeting which is visibly far from enchanting the CPE of Agnès Varda.
It must be said that Etienne does not seem to like to talk about their common past. “It’s all behind me. I prefer to forget“, he explains to Alexis before specifying, “So you know what, we’ll leave it at that“.
However, to believe that it is so simple is to misunderstand Alexis. Indeed, the latter is planning a coup and needs the talents of his former friend. Etienne may affirm that “It’s finish“and that he will not do it again”never again such a thing“, Alexis hands him the article of a newspaper dated 25 years ago on which one can read: “Burglars steal €150,000 loot from a villa in the Beaux-Arts district“. Something to refresh his memory but above all remind him of what he has been desperately trying to forget for all these years.
Before leaving, Etienne says, “There is prescription. I rebuilt my life“. When Alexis threatens to reveal the truth to Bénédicte and Dorian, Etienne summons him not to approach his family and to get out of his life.
“I leave you no choice. Whether you like it or not, this shot you’re going to do it with me.“, then retorts Alexis.
Unfortunately, Alexis has compromising evidence that could force Etienne to give in if we are to believe the synopses revealed by the channel. In any case, one thing is certain, Alexis”has not finished tormenting Etienne“in the sequel to the serial.
