Thunderbolt in Tomorrow Belongs to Us: an emblematic couple from the TF1 soap opera will separate
A couple for almost two years, François (Emmanuel Moire) and Charlie (Clémence Lassalas) have quickly established themselves as a leading couple in the TF1 daily soap opera. If their love story had experienced some storms in the past, the lovebirds had always managed to overcome the challenges together.
But as they prepare to start a new life in Canada, François shows signs of stress. An attitude that did not escape his partner who did not hesitate to make him believe that she was pregnant to find out if he really wants this new start.
A lie which will obviously create conflict within the couple but above all make François realize that his story with Charlie may be over. And unfortunately, the time for separation has indeed come for François and Charlie…
BETWEEN CHARLIE AND FRANÇOIS IT’S OVER
In a new extract available on the MyTF1 platform, Charlie joins François on the beach. Indeed, the French teacher has thought about everything that has happened in recent days. Although she agrees that it wasn’t right that she lied to him about the pregnancy test, Charlie explains that she needed to know where he stood.
If he was angry with her at the beginning, François nevertheless understands why she did this. “I was terrible. I hurt you and that’s exactly what I wanted to avoid“, he explains before continuing, “I’ve been here for weeks listening to you, making plans and I don’t say anything. I don’t have the courage to tell you what I feel, what I want or not“.
Charlie then admits to having heard him and Adam discussing his stress regarding their trip to Canada. The young woman tried to talk to him about it but François didn’t want to tell her anything. After apologizing to her, he says he said nothing to protect her.
“I love you and I know that deep within me. But when you told me we were going to have a child, I don’t know… ” he begins to say before Charlie interrupts him. In reality, the young woman laughs at all this and declares that she only did this to make him talk.
However, François believes that it is much more than that. “Charlie, you deserve to make a man cry with joy when you tell him you’re pregnant with him. Nothing else. You are young. You want to live your experiences, change your life, discover lots of things. I have my life here. I like my job. I love being able to see Adam whenever I want“.
Understanding, Charlie suggests that they give themselves a little time or even postpone their departure to Canada but François categorically refuses.
“You do exactly like me. You forget yourself to please me. I don’t want that“, he says. Moved, Charlie then tries to find out if he is leaving her.
“I don’t want to be a burden to you. And I don’t want you to one day blame me for not wanting children. I don’t want us to stay here and make you unhappy“, he concludes. A hard blow for Charlie who collects his things then leaves…
