Tomorrow belongs to us: “It’s going to get heated between Martin and Raphaëlle” reveals Franck Monsigny

Martin and Raphaëlle are preparing to weather a real storm in Tomorrow Belongs to Us. Met during the CANNESERIES festival, Franck Monsigny, Martin’s interpreter, spoke to Allociné about the episodes to come.

Martin (Franck Monsigny) and Raphaëlle (Jennifer Lauret) are preparing to go through a real storm in Tomorrow Belongs to Us. It must be said that the fall of Simon Leclercq (Sofiane Francine) risks wreaking havoc on their relationship.

And for good reason, Camille (Elisa Ezzedine) and Maud (Sixtine Dutheil) will quickly be suspected of having pushed the lawyer from the first floor. And obviously, Commander Constant will be in charge of the investigation. Enough to cause a stir, to say the least…

During the seventh season of the CANNESERIES Festival, which takes place from Friday April 5 to Wednesday April 10, 2024, AlloCiné had the chance to speak with Franck Monsigny, the interpreter of Commander Constant, who made us some revelations about upcoming episodes.

Allociné: The Sète police definitely have a hard time in Tomorrow Belongs to Us. After the investigation into the death of Maxence Gasquet, she will have to shed light on the mysterious fall of Simon Leclercq. What role will Martin play in this story which concerns Maud and Camille?

Franck Monsigny : Martin is going to be nothing more and nothing less than the sword of justice. That is to say that Maud and Camille were actually present on this balcony. There is a lack of timing and eyewitnesses to attest to who did what. But the fact is that Maud and Camille are experiencing a delicate moment which would correspond to this very serious accident. For her part, Raphaëlle will step away from her job as a lawyer a little to show off her mother’s claws. At the same time, Martin will oppose it because the procedure being what it is, the police will be obliged to hear and take the girls into custody. Things are going to get heated between Martin and Raphaëlle.

Is the couple of Martin and Raphaëlle in danger?

There is a real danger. To break the cold that is lasting between them, Martin will desperately try to get her back but she will not follow through. Martin will therefore give up.

Can we still hope to see them overcome this ordeal?

We can consider it!

I imagine that the return of Xavier Meffre (Charles Lelaure) doesn’t really help things either?

His presence is intended to provide sequences of comedy rather than embarrassment, ambiguity or malevolence. There is really a father who needs to be near his daughters and a Martin who really plays the game of welcoming the ex-husband. As a result, we will find Martin and the prosecutor in funny situations. Where women chat, men pat each other on the shoulder and move on. But during these moments, they will still have to work together. How can you do a police debrief with someone you saw in their underwear in the morning? (laughs).

Will Martin believe in the innocence of Maud and Camille?

Martin is forced to be on the side of facts all the time. At that point, they are in danger so it’s annoying for everyone but someone has to take responsibility in the end. And if it’s the girls, we’ll know why. But it would have to be them…

Myriam Becker (Selma Kouchy) was recently arrested for murder. What impact will this story have on the Martin-Nordine relationship?

Today things are going much better between Nordine (Youcef Agal) and Martin. It might be slower in life but in fiction you have to move on because there are other arcs coming. They need to come together and stick together fairly quickly.

Nordine is very affected by this story and locks himself into silence. Will Martin help him out?

It is an emotional millefeuille for Nordine and Martin will actually work for her mental and emotional healing.

So there is a little hope for the Manon-Nordine couple?

We can envisage it (laughs).

Do you have any wishes for Martin’s future?

I want to return to difficulties like he may have experienced during his run. I want to return to darkness, to faults, to things that are difficult to resolve and to a past that resurfaces. I find it more nourishing.

Do you have any other projects outside of the series that you can tell us about?

I’m releasing my new title, “Tant que j’avance”, on April 19th.
