What do the writers of “Tomorrow belongs to us” have in store for Martin Constant once the broadcast on TF1 resumes? A love affair with Lisa? A rapprochement with Raphaëlle? Franck Monsigny tells us more.
What romantic future for Martin Constant in the sequel to Tomorrow belongs to us?
Before the broadcast was paused, which will resume on December 19, once the Football World Cup is over, the police commander played by Franck Monsigny had to face a major disappointment.
He indeed realized that Johanna, the woman he had fallen in love with, was actually a scammer named Delphine Laborde, who had also brought down the prosecutor Sébastien Perraud (Xavier Deluc) and Régis Daunier.
This unfortunate experience – his first story since his breakup with Virginie Corkas (Audrey Looten) – does not mean that Martin will again remain single for very long. Indeed, his interpreter recently told us that the “sentimental” aspect of Commander Constant would soon be explored again.
“It’s not obvious that Martin’s sentimental life necessarily leads to this setting”he replied when asked if Martin’s house would soon reappear on the screen. “Martin, we love him with leather, we love him at the police station or in action. He represents righteousness and justice”.
“That being said, I’ve always enjoyed working on the sentimental side of Martin, and there’s one on the horizon. But will we be rediscovering the decor of Martin’s house a little more? ? I don’t know. But in any case, we’re going to go back to adventures other than police (laughs)”.
Martin soon in a relationship with Raphaëlle Perraud?
Fans of Tomorrow belongs to us who hope to see a love story born between Martin and Lisa Hassan (Naïma Rodric) will however be disappointed to learn that such a rapprochement is obviously not on the agenda. Despite the fact that Lisa made it clear to Victoire that she was not immune to her superior’s charm.
“Public opinion seems to want a rapprochement between Martin and Lisa. But it is not public opinion that is authoritative in the offices of the authors of Tomorrow belongs to us”indeed told us Franck Monsigny on this subject.
So, could Martin’s next, rather unexpected, crush be Raphaëlle Perraud, played by Jennifer Lauret? “You are well informed (laughs)”replies amused Franck Monsigny when asked about this rapprochement teased last summer at our microphone by Aude Thévenin, the producer of Tomorrow belongs to us.
“It’s possible, yes. You know, the authors always approach reconciliations to see how it resonates with the public. And it’s always along the way that we ratify decisions. So we’ll see if that materializes “.
It remains to be seen how Martin and Raphaëlle will end up getting closer. And how will prosecutor Perraud react when he learns that the police commander whom he has often opposed in the past is potentially having a story with his daughter.
“We smile in advance to see these two men who have a lot of character and are often in opposition interacting on a personal level”admits the interpreter of Martin.
“Even if they work a lot alike in the end. It would be fun to imagine Martin and Sébastien at the table, on a Sunday, looking at each other sideways because Raphaëlle is between the two. It can be very funny”. That promises.
