Tomorrow belongs to us: the marriage of Audrey and Damien, the past of the police officer… The revelations of Charlotte Gaccio

As the wedding of Audrey and Damien approaches, Charlotte Gaccio, the interpreter of the sparkling waitress of the Spoon, confided in the microphone of Allociné on this union which will be a landmark in Tomorrow belongs to us.

Allociné: It’s been two years since you joined the family of tomorrow belongs to us. What is your assessment since your arrival in the series?

Charlotte Gaccio: A rather positive assessment for the moment. I’m always happy to be there and very interested in what I’m offered to play. So for now, I’m very happy. I still love this Roussel family very much. We’re a family that pretty realistic things happen to and I appreciate that. I think it’s a simple family to which simple things happen.

The Roussel family was quickly adopted by viewers. In your opinion, what appeals so much to the public about this family?

Perhaps this simple side precisely. This family side of real life. When I meet the public in life or on social networks, I have a lot of single women who struggle with their children who identify with this family. We were also lucky that the meeting was obvious between us actors. There was an immediate complicity and friendship. And on that, you can’t cheat. We were very lucky to run into each other and that it matched. It was the chance of the casting which was very good (laughs).

It’s a big week for Audrey since her wedding will take place on Friday. How did you feel when you heard that Damien (Adrian Rob) and Audrey were getting married?

I was super happy because it’s something we’ve wanted for a long time with Adrien. In December, when we had this aborted marriage proposal with Audrey who is leaking, we said to ourselves “shit” (laughs). It was Adrien who sent me a screenplay screenshot saying, “That’s it, I’m going to ask you in marriage“. And then when he saw the end of the scene, he said to me “oh well no” (laughs).

So, even if it was very clever at the level of the authors, we were a little disappointed that it didn’t happen. Then we hardly thought about it anymore. After all, there are plenty of couples who live happily without making it official. Finally, we are made to pass this course and we find it great.

It’s actually quite rare to have a wedding on a daily basis. I imagine it must be something to cross a course like that…

Yes ! It’s fun to do. And then the last wedding having ended quite badly, we were happy to be able to bring a little levity (laughs).

How was the filming of the ceremony?

There was something almost close to a real wedding in the sense that all the characters were particularly beautiful that day and happy to be there. It was festive in a very nice place. Everyone was happy for us and we were also to live that.

Which dress will Audrey choose to wear?

None of the dresses you saw at the fittings anyway. It’s another one but I’m not spoiling (laughs).

What can you tell us about what awaits viewers at this wedding? Will we be entitled to surprises?

We stay on something simple like the Roussel family. It really is feelings first more than anything else. We are in a very pretty place decorated by the children who struggled to organize this wedding.

After the wedding of Audrey and Damien, what will be the next step for this couple? Will they consider having a baby, for example?

Frankly, I hope not (laughs). She already has four children Audrey. We are not on Families XXL (laughs). I would think it would be nice if they didn’t actually have one. There was a whole thing about Damien who could have eventually become the donor of Sara (Camille Genau) and Roxane (Raphaële Volkoff). But since he didn’t want to have children, he thought it was weird to do that. I like that he’s hooked up to that. Audrey has grown children and he doesn’t want them. In any case, it is not planned for the moment.

Viewers would love to find out more about the Roussel family. Do you know if the writers plan to bring Jordan’s father or twins soon?

It’s not in the pipeline yet. But I think it’s one of the things that will happen one day. But so far, I haven’t seen anything like that.

Will we soon see other members of the Roussel family like Audrey’s parents or those of Damien?

We won’t see them at the wedding anyway. It’s not focused on those guests. But something is brewing about the past of Damien and his family. It is true that for the moment we only see this character at the police station and within the Roussel family. We will therefore learn more about his past in the months to come.

Audrey recently lost her best friend. With the loss of Alma (Camilla de Pazzis), Audrey doesn’t really have friendly interactions anymore. Could she befriend another character in the series?

It misses not having Camille for Charlotte and Alma for Audrey. I would like to go in this direction and that Audrey makes another girlfriend or another boyfriend. For now, I don’t know who the candidates are (laughs). Apart from the Spoon or his family, we don’t see her much with other characters indeed.

Before becoming a waitress at Spoon, Audrey was a beautician. Will she stay permanently in the bar or could she on the contrary have a new professional project?

I would like. It was funny in the description of the character that she was a girl who had had several jobs and who was a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. For now, there is no question. At the same time, I’m very good at it so it doesn’t bother me.

Especially since we really like the exchanges between Mona (Catherine Benguigui) and Audrey…

Catherine is extremely strong in comedy. It’s very enjoyable to be able to share scenes with her. What I like about Spoon is that we manage to make it a place of lightness and humor. Hector Langevin is also super funny and we manage to do cool things together. It’s a team that works well.

What awaits Audrey in the weeks to come?

There’s no big arch coming up regarding Audrey. It so happens that I shot season 7 of Sam for three months. So we had to adapt the schedule and the scripts. I am not very present in the next intrigues broadcast but I will come back (laughs).
