The guests of the charity evening victims of a malicious act

Return to the castle where the charity evening organized by the town hall took place. About an hour after the tragedy – William had an impressive fall, and all the guests fainted one after the other – the guests began to regain consciousness.

While Aurore rushes towards William, who looks seriously in bad shape, Georges and Renaud are worried about Victoire who does not wake up. Her pulse is weak and Dr. Dumaze fears there may be complications from her transplant. She needs to be evacuated as soon as possible.

Fortunately, Sébastien Perraud and Raphaëlle, who were outside the castle at the time of the tragedy, warned the police and the emergency services, which soon arrived on the spot. Martin and Lisa question Adam, who is the first to have raised the alarm. The teenager explains to them that he was attacked by an individual near the technical room. Adam had caught him tinkering with something. When François’ son regained consciousness, the guests were all unconscious.

Marianne, who examined William, thinks her colleague is suffering from head trauma and cervical trauma. She also fears a risk of internal bleeding. William is therefore rushed to Saint-Clair, just like Victoire who has regained her senses but feels oppressed.

Martin announces to the guests of the evening that they have been the victim of a malicious act. As part of the investigation, they will all have to be questioned and Commander Constant tells them that they are therefore not allowed to leave the room for the moment. Only the injured and their relatives are allowed to leave.

Aurore and Manon hasten to get into the ambulance with William, while Marianne and Renaud are allowed to leave to make themselves useful at the hospital. Karim, who swears to be able to work, joins the investigation. It was then that Damien made a discovery: he found a bottle of very powerful anesthetic in the air conditioning duct of the technical room. Adam’s attacker was therefore indeed trying to put all the guests to sleep. But for what reason since there was no theft?

Karim’s brother is found dead

Martin asks his team to check the list of guests and staff to see who is missing. He then instructs Sara to start taking everyone’s fingerprints and asks Nordine to retrieve the footage of the party from the guests’ phones.

But that’s when Lisa brings him bad news: someone from outside the party was present in the castle. She takes Martin to the music room: the lifeless body of Malik Ben Allal, Karim’s brother, lies on the ground. Lisa found a construction mask near her body and Malik’s watch stopped at 10:32 p.m., presumably the time of his death. So he’s the one who tampered with the air conditioning to put the guests to sleep, there’s no doubt about it.

Karim enters the room and screams when he sees his brother on the ground, dead. He wants to see his body but Martin takes him out of the room. Lisa then questions Romy, who blames the hit. Even if things were complicated between Malik and her lately, he was the father of her son, she loved him. She swears that she did not meet Malik during the evening and that she was listening to the mayor’s speech in the reception hall at the time of her husband’s death. Chloé and Renaud can attest to that.

Lisa is also surprised not to see Rayane since he was on the guest list. Romy explains to him that he was bored and that he left around 10 p.m. She is certain that if her son had known that Malik was there, he would have warned her.

According to Damien’s initial findings, Malik died of head trauma caused by a blow to the back of the skull with a blunt object. And coincidentally, there is an object missing from the fireplace that the police have not found. Damien explains to Martin that Malik also has a facial wound which is presumably the result of a blow from someone wearing a ring.

Martin finds it difficult to admit it but, for the moment, Karim and Romy are the main suspects. He questions Karim who assures that he thought his brother had left town. He adds that he was also listening to the mayor’s speech at the time of Malik’s death.

Sara interrupts their conversation and announces to her superior that she has something new. By searching the victim’s phone, she found text exchanges between Malik and his son Rayane dating from the morning before. The teenager tried to provoke his father by telling him about the evening. Sara tells Martin that Malik had booked a private flight to Montenegro for Romy and him, which was to take off at 11:50 p.m. Martin comes to the conclusion that Malik put fifty people to sleep in order to kidnap his wife.

Only Malik did not follow through with his plan. Damien found another tank that was not used and was certainly intended for the other air conditioning duct, which serves the small rooms of the castle. He was surprised by Adam and had to speed things up. For Martin, all those who were in the reception room at 10:30 p.m. are exonerated. The culprit of Malik’s murder is in the other group.

Alex becomes the police’s prime suspect

Lisa thinks she has found the murder weapon: a bookend. But it was hidden in the dishwasher which was at the end of the cycle, so there is no fingerprint on the object. Sara, for her part, announces to Martin that Chloé, Renaud and several waiters have confirmed the presence of Romy and Karim in the reception room at the time of the murder. They therefore have an alibi and are also exonerated, to Martin’s great relief.

Martin discusses with Nordine and tells him that William is in the operating room. As for Victoire, she is fine, she will be able to leave the hospital.

Charlie and Alex begin to lose patience and wish they could go home. They attack Nordine. The latter explains to them that they are now facing a murder investigation and that the police still have a few checks to do.

In the aftermath, Chloe asks her husband where he was during the mayor’s speech. She didn’t see him come back before he fainted. Alex claims that he was in the bathroom and that he too collapsed when he returned, when all the other guests had already passed out. He doesn’t like his wife suspecting him so much and then throws a strange look at Sylvain. Nordine then understands that the two men are hiding something and leaves to warn Martin.

While questioning Alex, Lisa notices a trace of blue chalk on his jacket. He ends up admitting that he went into the billiard room a little before the arrival of the cake to play a game with Sylvain. He claims it just slipped his mind. At the same time, Martin manages to get Sylvain to talk: he explains that Alex asked him not to say anything because that was bound to complicate things. He adds that he ended up going downstairs to get a drink and that he left Alex alone in the billiard room until the moment of the tragedy.

The police then confront Alex about his lies, but Emma steps in and explains to the police that Alex was not alone. She was with him in the room and kissed him. Only someone surprised them and Alex went looking for that person. Lisa asks Emma if she saw Alex come back, but Emma replies that she was alone in the room for a while before joining Camille downstairs and fainting.

Alex, meanwhile, assures that he did not manage to catch up with the one who surprised his kiss with Emma. He thought it was Sylvain but that’s not the case. Alex asks Lisa what all this can change in the investigation. Captain Hassan then makes him understand that he has a big hole in his schedule right at the time of Malik’s death. Also, Damien announces to Martin that chalk was found on Malik’s clothes. In addition to an absence of alibi, an element now designates Alex Bertrand.

Martin announces to the guests of the evening that they will finally be able to go home. However, he asks Alex to follow him to the police station. Chloe can’t believe her eyes. Alex, who is tired of constantly being used as a scapegoat by the Sète police, rebels and refuses to cooperate. As Nordine approaches to put the handcuffs on him, Alex takes a step back and drops a wallet from his suit. These are Malik’s papers. Could Alex really have killed him? It is a stupor for his relatives.
