Tonight on Netflix: Bradley Cooper uses his brain to the fullest in this little nugget!

American actor Bradley Cooper, whose “Maestro” has just been unveiled on Netflix, was the star of a stunning thriller in 2011. Good news: the film, entitled “Limitless”, is also available on the platform!

Bradley Cooper is currently at the top of the news with the Netflix film Maestro, which sees him slip into the shoes of conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein. The opportunity to advise you Limitless, a thriller original led by the American actor, also available on the platform.

Released in 2011, Limitless, one of those excellent films that gave rise to completely failed series, tells the story of a writer trying a new drug supposed to increase intellectual faculties tenfold. He becomes famous thanks to the substance but, very quickly, side effects appear…

Limitless, which attracted nearly 900,000 spectators in theaters, is the adaptation of the novel Fields of Darkness (The Dark Fields in VO) by Alan Glynn, a book which evokes the legend of the incomplete use of the brain. The result on screen is truly entertaining: clever, playful, hectic, slightly amoral, slightly psychedelic, the film, in which Robert De Niro also stars, has all the assets to make you have an excellent evening.

“The beginnings of the story might suggest that we are tending towards science fiction, but this kind of scientific discovery is probably not that far from reality”notes screenwriter Leslie Dixon, who wrote, among others, the stories of Madame Doubtfire and Freaky Friday. “I am convinced that right now, researchers in laboratories are trying to develop products to develop intelligence, improve memory, cognitive functions and reflexes.”

“I wanted the story to be completely credible, to approach it as something real”completes director Neil Burger, to whom we owe the first part of the Divergent saga. “And I also wanted to get inside Eddie’s head, show how he perceives the world when he’s under the influence of drugs, how he processes information and how he feels about being so intelligent. I had ideas for unusual visual techniques to show one’s perception of what surrounds one.”
