Tonight on TV: don’t be fooled by appearances, this comedy is a real gem!

Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: Sandra Bullock as an FBI agent.

In the early 2000s, in order to diversify her filmography often associated with the genre of romantic comedy, Sandra Bullock turned to roles of women facing all types of danger. She even goes so far as to turn into a real tomboy in Miss Detective.

Under the direction of Donald Petrie, the actress actually lends her features to Grace, a far from elegant FBI agent, who finds herself designated to save the Miss USA pageant, following threats from a mysterious terrorist.

Upon its release, this comedy achieved such critical and commercial success that it is now considered cult. For her performance, Sandra Bullock was nominated for the Golden Globes in the Best Actress in a Comedy category. A sequel therefore logically sees the light of day five years later.

Directed by John Pasquin, Miss FBI: Divinely Armed follows the new adventures of Grace, who, having taken a liking to fame, leaves her post as an agent to become the face of the FBI. At least until she resumes service to save her best friend, kidnapped in Las Vegas.

A second part placed under the sign of sumptuous sets, eccentric costumes, wild chases and cheerful gags.

Miss FBI: Divinely Armed by John Pasquin with Sandra Bullock, Regina King, Enrique Murciano…

Tonight on Chérie 25 at 9:05 p.m.
