Tonight on TV: even moms can be trash

Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: a crazy comedy from the writers of “Very Bad Trip”.

After having scripted the adventures of the famous trio of Very Bad Trip, between drunken evenings and male friendship, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore wish to pay homage to their wives with Bad Moms, which approaches, from the angle of comedy, the harsh reality mothers of families. They also feed on anecdotes and stories from those around them or their actresses.

The very desperate Kristen Bell – who operates a rather amusing turn since she is the VO of the heroine of The Snow Queen, one of the favorite animated films of children -, the overbooked Mila Kunis and finally the hilarious Kathryn Hahn form a female trio here in search of fun and relaxation, far from their conventional responsibilities as mothers.

Being a good mother is impossible nowadays“: this extreme line effectively sums up the difficulty of reconciling professional, personal fulfillment and motherhood. This is why the directors strive to make women feel guilty thanks to well-felt dialogues, a boosted rhythm and rock’n’roll sequences worthy of Very Bad Trip. In short, Bad Moms is a daring, cash and funny feel-good comedy.
