Born in Morocco, of Jewish parents, Gad Elmaleh received a Talmudic education, while being sensitive to the living together of the different religious communities of the country. After falling under the spell of the Virgin Mary, he decides to convert to Catholicism. And it is precisely this conversion, as well as the reactions that this arouses within his family, which are at the heart of the film.
