Tonight on TV: One of the most underrated sci-fi movies of the past 10 years

Twenty-two years after Paul Verhoeven, Len Wiseman (Underworld) is at the helm of an adaptation of the science fiction short story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” (“Memories for sale” in VF) written by Philip K. Dick.

In this version titled Total Recall Programmed Memoriesthe director does a lot of aesthetic work to mark the opposition between the two monster states of history, supported by the special effects studio Double Negative, which has worked on John Carter, Captain America: First Avenger and even Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

In France, despite the poor reception from the press, the film met its audience by directly taking first place at the box office when it was released. It will finish its operation with more than 1.2 million admissions.
