Tonight on TV: Proof Not All Wizards Look Like Harry Potter

Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: illusionism and robbery are on the program on M6.

Backed by his experience on several very ambitious productions (The Transporter I and II, Danny the Dog, The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans), Franco-American Louis Leterrier embarked on the production of Insaisissables in 2013.

A real race against time, the film follows the hunt for the Four Horsemen, a group of brilliant illusionist bank robbers by two FBI and Interpol agents. Between Las Vegas, Paris, New York and New Orleans, the adventures of these modern Robin Hoods are breathtaking!

The director effectively mixes the register of the action that he knows well with mind-blowing sleight of hand and executed without synthetic images. In particular, he chose to hire two directors of photography: one specialized in magic scenes (Larry Fong), the other in action scenes (Mitchell Amundsen).

Revisiting Ocean’s Eleven, Louis Leterrier also calls on an attractive cast including, among others, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman.

Having grossed $351 million internationally, Elusive was naturally entitled to a sequel, released in 2016, directed by Jon M. Chu.

Elusive by Louis Leterrier with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson…
