In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 2, which we recently told you about how it was received when it was released in theaters, the fight between the powers of good and evil of the wizarding universe turns into war without thanks.
The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon for the ultimate sacrifice as the final showdown with Voldemort draws near.
The action of the film, shot at the same time as the first part, takes place again at Hogwarts. But the school is now in the hands of the Death Eaters. “It’s become a truly sinister place that looks more like a prison than a magic school”notes director David Yates.
The final part of the franchise, very spectacular and full of emotions, also marks the first kiss exchanged between Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson). According to Emma Watson, the two actors, who have known each other since the age of 10, consider themselves brothers and sisters. So they found it very uncomfortable to have to kiss.
How does it feel after living a decade in the Hogwarts universe? The floor to Daniel Radcliffe, the interpreter of Harry Potter on screen: “I can’t even begin to express what the role of Harry Potter means to me, but what I can say is that I never took it lightly.
And if it’s the same character throughout the saga, Harry – like everyone – has changed a lot over the years. So, I tried to renew myself with each film and highlight different character traits.”
