Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: the most famous family of French cinema invests the Elysée.
Released in 2010, Les Tuche and its 1.5 million admissions gradually rose to the rank of cult film, becoming the starting point of an ever-increasing popularity franchise. After a second part taking place in the United States, which attracted close to 4.6 million spectators in theaters, Olivier Baroux returned for a third part in 2018.
Elected mayor of Bouzolles, Jeff Tuche decides to stand in the presidential election, in which he emerges as the big winner with 57% of the vote. Always so funny and endearing, the craziest family of French cinema – Jean-Paul Rouve and Isabelle Nanty at the head – takes over the Palais de l’Élysée!
Like its predecessors, Les Tuche 3 follows a well-oiled recipe; namely, to immerse the colorful characters in an improbable universe. A real guilty pleasure with hilarious scenes (the presidential debate between the two rounds, the dinner between the Tuche and Merkel couples).
Having achieved the best performance of a French film at the national box office in 2018 with 5.6 million admissions, Les Tuche 3 was awarded the César du public in 2019. A great adventure that is not ready to be stop since, with 2.4 million entries for Tuche 4, Olivier Baroux is now working on a fifth opus, scheduled for 2024.
Les Tuche 3 by Olivier Baroux with Jean-Paul Rouve, Isabelle Nanty, Claire Nadeau…
Tonight on TF1 at 9:10 p.m.
