Vin Diesel, actor and producer of the Fast & Furious franchise, can’t believe the latter’s longevity and success. “If you had told me, 23 years ago, that I was going to have the chance to be part of a series of anthological films with worldwide success over more than twenty years… I would have thought you were crazy”declares the American.
Fast & Furious “It’s incredible”he enthuses. “It’s a founding saga. It’s been 20 years that the spectators have evolved with the characters. So it’s scary… But with the encouragement of my wife, I finally accepted. Everyone treated me like a member of the family and after the second take it was my film. I was very well looked after.”
In Fast & Furious X, which attracted 2.3 million spectators in France, Dom and his gang are confronted with a new enemy: Dante, played by Jason Momoa. “It’s been 10 years since I last played a villain character, and the opportunity to join the franchise meant a lot to me”enjoys the actor, currently starring in the Marvel film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. “I was delighted both to be able to leave my mark on it and to inject something new and exciting. I had a lot of fun with this mix of humor and psychopathy.”
