US actor Tony Dow is dead. The star of ‘One Should Be Grown Up’ died at the age of 77.

Tony Dow has passed away. The American actor and director was 77 years old. He is best known for playing Wally Cleaver on the sitcom Grow Up. Dow died on Wednesday (July 27), as did his manager, Frank Bilotta According to US media reports citing Dow’s son Christopher.

Christopher Dow explained in the statement, according to Bilotta on the official Facebook page of Tony Dow shared: “Although this is a very sad day, I have the comfort and peace that he is in a better place. He was the best father anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my Reasonable voice, my best friend, my best man at my wedding and my hero”.

The news comes just a day after a false report was made about the actor’s death. Dow announced in May that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He leaves behind his wife and two children.

In addition to his role in “You would have to be an adult” (originally “Leave It To Beaver”), he also appeared in series such as “Lassie”, “Knight Rider” or “Murder is her hobby”. He has also directed television, including several episodes of the sci-fi series Babylon 5 and an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
