The relief is great: Tony Marshall is back home. After a serious infection with the corona virus, the singer was allowed to leave the hospital after weeks of anxiety.

Tony Marshall, 83, is finally allowed to hug his wife Gaby, 83, carefree again. He had to spend several weeks in a clinic. The corona virus has almost let the pop star reach the end of his strength, at times he had to be ventilated in the intensive care unit. Now he finally seems to regain his strength and to have overcome the worst. “I feel fit and can even sing again,” he explains to “Bild”, and emphasizes with vehemence and probably also humility: “My luck was that I was vaccinated against Corona twice. Otherwise I would probably not have survived the whole thing . ”

Tony Marshall: “This time too I sent death away”

To this day, Marshall does not know where he was infected with the virus. However, he is aware that it could have cost him his life. “I wasn’t afraid of death,” emphasizes the always cheerful pop star. “He’s already a good friend, as often as he knocked on my door. But this time I sent him away again.”

Antibodies are supposed to protect it from re-infection

Now he hopes that Corona will spare him for the time being: “I don’t need a third vaccination anymore because the infection gave me enough antibodies.”
