Top 14: Toulouse in the final again!

by Samuel Troccaz (iDalgo)

Stade Toulouse qualified for a new Top 14 final by defeating La Rochelle this Friday (39-23). Ugo Mola’s men, reigning champions, shone at home against a nervous team who collected two red cards. At half-time, however, it was Stade Rochelais which led 20 to 15. The try by French international Grégory Alldritt two minutes before the break threatened the Occitans. In the second half, Toulouse pulled out all the stops, winning 24-3 thanks to goals from Matthis Lebel, Santiago Chocobares and Juan Cruz Mallia. The team from the pink city will face the winner of Stade français – Bordeaux Bègles to try to win a new Brennus shield.
