This Wednesday, May 25, M6 drew a new episode of Top Chef. But surprise at the end of this evening of competition, no candidate left the adventure. Explanations.
The competition is at its peak. In just a few weeks, the name of the big winner of this thirteenth season of Top chef will finally be revealed. After 18 weeks of competition, viewers will finally know the outcome of this edition. But before the final, this Wednesday, May 25, fans of the prestigious M6 culinary competition in discovered the quarter-finals. There are only four left: Louise Bourrat, representative of Hélène Darroze’s team; Pascal Barandoni, last candidate of Philippe Etchebest; Sébastien Renard, who is now in Paul Pairet’s team; as well as Arnaud Delvenne, who officiates in the brigade of Glenn Viel.
Four to touch their dream of winning this competition, each crazier than the other. But for that, they will have to prove themselves more than ever. To win their place for the semi-finals, the candidates will engage in a culinary marathon… in two shows. As has been the case since the tenth edition of Top chef, the quarter-finals take place over two weeks. To qualify for the next stage, they must obtain two passes. This is why there was no elimination this Wednesday, May 25. We will only know next Wednesday, June 1, the three semi-finalists of this edition.
Did a Top Chef candidate qualify for the semi-final?
It all started with a test orchestrated by chef Mauro Colagreco. Two passes were then put into play. And for good reason, they had two dishes to prepare: a flower-based starter and a leaf-based dessert. Particularly touched by the presence of the chief – since this one attended his victory in Top Chef objective -, Pascal went all out. But did not shine so far. It is Arnaud then Louise who won these first two passesallowing them to take a small step ahead of their comrades.
Then place to the challenge of Stéphanie Le Quellec, winner of season 2 of the prestigious M6 culinary competition. She asked them to make a dish that hides a surprise when cut. Only one ticket is up for grabs. And after two hours of cooking, it’s still Arnaud and Louise who are neck and neck! Ultimately, the chef has decided to reward Arnaud. The Belgian is therefore the first qualified for the semi-final. Next week, June 1, if they want to qualify in turn, Louise, Pascal and Sébastien will have to convince the keen palates of the Michelin Guide inspectors.
