Top Chef: how much is Marc Veyrat paid to participate?

On September 26, Marc Veyrat was received by Jordan De Luxe on the C8 set. During the interview, the chef took the opportunity to talk about the show Top Chef, in which he briefly appeared there.

Rather rare in interviews, Marc Veyrat granted Jordan de Luxe an interview, broadcast on September 26, in which he confides in various aspects of his life, from his childhood in Haute-Savoie, to his discreet wife, Christine, in going through his dislike of Michelin stars. The conversation then turned to his colleagues, who can be seen on the screen, and Marc Veyrat was very complimentary towards some like Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze. Inevitably, this prompted Jordan De Luxe to ask why the chef in the black hat did not join the jury of the famous cooking show Top Chef. “Because no one asked me!replies Marc Veyrat before qualifying: “I was asked for things that I refused at the time…(…) Etchebest offered me a lot of stuff“. If the chef has not had the opportunity to join the jury of the M6 program so far, he was invited there for an episode, during season 9, where he received the candidates at his place, in Manigod.

Marc Veyrat: cash on the amount of his compensation in Top Chef

Asked by Jordan De Luxe about the salary he had received for the occasion, Marc Veyrat replied cash: “Not paid a penny!“. A detail that did not prevent the chef from appreciating his short experience within the program. “I didn’t hesitate, because I think it’s a show that holds up and makes young people want to cook“, Marc Veyrat confided at the time in the pages of TV mag, before specifying: “There are still some drawbacks: the show puts young people under the spotlights, but the trade is learned over the years. This can therefore give a somewhat false image. But they are pros and they blew me away!”
