In 2019, Maxime decided to change his life to get into the kitchen. The information system consultant had received four stars in the first round. A note that had led him to the battles, where he unfortunately failed due to the failed cooking of his rice pudding. An experience that those around him did not let him forget! After his appearance on the show, Maxime went through a real ordeal: “I've been made a lot of jokes since, as soon as I go to see friends, they make me a rice pudding right away … in all the sauces, all the fruits”, he reveals in front of Philippe Etchebest. An anecdote that made the chef laugh, much more than the candidate. But far from letting go, Maxime came back more “revenge ” than ever ! In fact, he chose to offer the dessert that had cost him his place in the contest.
“The revenge of rice pudding ”. This is the name the cook decided to give to his recipe. And clearly, the bet was a winner. Because Philippe Etchebest not only appreciated his daring, but also and above all his dish. After making it sparkle for a few minutes, as he often likes to do, Philippe Etchebest unveiled Maxime's rating: five stars! A higher score than his previous attempt, which directly qualified him for the battles. And by doubling successful, the candidate went even further by reaching the final of the week scheduled for the next day. It remains to be seen whether he will manage to clinch victory, like Gratien Leroy last year, and therefore join the blue brigade of Top chef.
