Viewers had to wait over 36 years for “Top Gun: Maverick” with Tom Cruise. Not so with “Top Gun 3”! After the Hollywood star is said to have negotiated a deal with Warner Bros. for new projects, there will soon be another sequel to the popular action series.
Top Gun 3: Plot
The story of “Top Gun 3” will most likely follow on from “Top Gun: Maverick” and deal with new, interesting conflicts such as the use of combat drones. Here the pilots around Maverick, Goose and Rooster could advocate that fighter planes should only be piloted by people and not by machines.
There’s also a theory that a new villain was already revealed in Part 2. But it remains to be seen how the plot actually develops in the third part of the series.

Top Gun 3: Cast
So far the only thing that is certain is that leading actor and producer Tom Cruise (“Mission Impossible”) will be seen again in his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Other of his fellow actors could be involved again, including Miles Teller (“The Offer”) as the son of the injured Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, and Glen Powell (“Scream Queens”) as Lt. Jake “Hangman” Seresin.
Top Gun 3: Production
Producers Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison are said to be involved again in “Top Gun 3”. Just like with “Top Gun: Maverick,” screenwriter Ehren Kruger is also set to return.
