It’s finally clear which actors are in the announced sequel to the 1990s blockbuster “Twister”.
It was already announced last year that there should be a sequel to the legendary disaster epic “Twister” from 1996. So far it has only leaked out that Lee Isaac Chung (44, “Minari”) will direct the movie. As “The Hollywood Reporter” reports nowbut the cast of the film is now largely certain.
Action expert Glen Powell (34), known from “Top Gun: Maverick”, should take on one of the main roles. British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones (24), known from the love drama “Normal People”, will be at his side.
“New chapter” of the tornado drama
According to the production company, the “Twister” sequel is not a sequel in which familiar characters reappear. Rather, it is a “new chapter” of the original story.
The 1996 original, starring Helen Hunt, 59, and Bill Paxton, 61, is about a divorced couple who reunite after fighting a devastating tornado together.
