New Alfa Spider is conceivable
Imparato leaves it open whether the wish of many Alfisti for the return of the Spider will be fulfilled: A Duetto, as the two-seater open sports car was actually called, is only conceivable together with a coupé like the GTV, based on the medium platform from Stellantis. Maybe the new Spider will come in 2029. The Duetto can only return if sales of at least 10,000 cars are possible, says Imparato. “I would love to build a car like that,” says the Alfa Romeo boss. Alfa fans will keep their fingers crossed that the icon of the 60s will celebrate a renaissance. For Imparato it would be like a graduation test. (cen/gr)
