The LG 55G1 television is now priced at € 1,348.00 at Cobra and Ubaldi. It is currently one of our best value for money.
The LG 55G1 – 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65G1 we tested – is the only TV from the Korean manufacturer to feature the new, brighter Oled panel made by LG Display, in addition to a new processor and the latest version of webOS. And the least we can say is that the image quality is still there …

The LG 55G1 – 55 inch (140cm) version of the LG 65G1 we tested – is definitely one of the best Ultra HD TVs on the market. It delivers a simply perfect image and excels in all areas, whether film or video games, thanks to a perfectly calibrated image and flawless responsiveness. Designed to be hung on the wall (wall mounting supplied), this model greatly simplifies installation, but beware, the feet are optional! Peak brightness is up slightly from last year, but not enough to compete with the Panasonic HZ2000 Oled TV and high-end LCD TVs like the Samsung QE65QN95A. This television remains a compendium of technology (HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision IQ, G-Sync, FreeSync, WiSA) offering very high level performance, while knowing how to be discreet.

It’s flawless for the LG 48C1 – 48 inch (122 cm) version of the LG 55C1 we tested – which, like its predecessor, is one of the most successful TVs on the market. It displays a perfectly calibrated image in SDR and HDR, very wide viewing angles and infinite contrast. The surprise comes from the rising peak of brightness which rivals that of the LG G1 yet equipped with the Oled Evo panel. The LG 48C1 will suit both moviegoers and video game enthusiasts thanks to its flawless responsiveness and the integration of the functions essential to enjoy the latest game consoles (HDMI 2.1, 4K120, VRR).
